The slightly germ-obsessed former ER nurse and mom behind ScootSuit—a washable crawling layer for babies who want to explore everywhere… even the places you wish they wouldn’t.

The moment

I saw the world through a floor-level lens.

Once my son started crawling, everything at ground level became something I had to assess. Pediatrician waiting rooms. Library carpets. Hotels and Airbnb's. Every crumb, dust bunny, and mystery smudge.

I wanted him to explore freely — without rolling in floor germs, or coming home with red, scuffed knees and palms.

The nurse lens

Every decision here started as a nursing habit.

I spent years paying attention to what touches skin, what picks up dirt, and what wears down with use. When I designed ScootSuit, I brought that same attention to every detail.

What touches the skin

Soft cotton spandex jersey

Soft, breathable stretch fabric designed to layer comfortably over everyday clothes.

No harsh dyes

Muted, tonal colorways. OEKO-TEX fabric certified. Nothing unnecessary against new skin.

Footed one-piece

Full coverage from shoulders to toes helps keep clothes and little hands covered while crawling.

What takes the impact

Padded anti-slip patches at the knees

Where a crawling baby carries most of their weight. Cushion and grip in the same patch.

Non-slip grips on the mitt cuffs

Fold the cuffs over to cover little hands and add traction, then fold them back when they want their fingers free.

Easy zip closure with chin guard

One simple zipper makes it easy to put on and take off, while the fabric guard helps keep the zipper away from their chin.

Why ScootSuit exists

I built the ScootSuit for parents like me.

Parents who want their babies to explore the world, but also want to keep them safe and clean — without spending the whole afternoon saying “not there.”

ScootSuit is my love letter to curious babies and the parents cheering them on. A simple solution to a real parenting problem—shaped by my nursing background, grounded in mom-level practicality, and made with a whole lot of heart.
